Reggie Bicha, M.S.W.

Board Member

Reggie Bicha is a social worker, administrator, educator and national leader. He has extensive experience working on child welfare, education, employment and health issues at the county, state and national levels. Most recently, Reggie served as Director of Human Services in Colorado from 2011 through 2018, during which time he undertook a bold initiative to redesign and refocus the state agency. Before moving to Colorado, Reggie served as the Inaugural Secretary of the Wisconsin Department of Children and Families. He formerly served as President of the American Public Human Services Association and in 2015, he received the APHSA State and Local Outstanding Member Award. In January 2014, Reggie was recognized for his leadership and dedication with the Casey Family Programs “Excellence for Children Award” and in 2012, he was selected for the Ascend Fellowship, sponsored by the prestigious Aspen Institute, to focus on approaches to move children and parents beyond poverty. He completed his Bachelor of Social Work degree at the University of Wisconsin Eau-Claire and received his Master of Social Work degree, with a focus on child welfare, from the University of Minnesota. Mr. Bicha and his wife Becky have three children and have served as foster parents.
